Rio Gay Events

Rio is home to three of the biggest gay parties in Latin America and their Carnival is probably the biggest party in the world. This is a city that knows hot to celebrate.

New Years Eve, also know as Reveilolon, is one of the first parties of the year. Over 2 million people line the beaces of Rio to watch an amazing firework display. The Revolution pool party is also held during the New Year's celebrations and is the perfect way to wind down after a night of partying.

Carnival, is without a doubt, the party that put Rio on the map. The Gay Carnival is held during the same time as the main event. However the private parties are some of the most popular events of the week-long celebrations so get your tickets early. Scala Gay, is one of the most famous gay parties during the Rio Carnival with the red carpet being televisted to over 20 million viewers.

X-Demente, B.I,T.C.H and The Week are also toww popular parties that are held during the major celebrations and fiestas.

Finally, Rio's Gay Pride takes place at the end of October/Early november annually. IT has become one of the busiest parties of the year with over 1 million people visiting Rio for the event. The parade, with makes its way through Copacabana every year, is one of the highlights of Rio's colourful gay event calendar.

Finally, several of the bars and clubs have regular parties scheduled during the week. Check out the flyers being handed out by the hot gay guys at the gay beach in Ipanema; many of them offer concessions and free entrance. Le Boy, one of the busiest clubs in Rio, has different parties every night plus special DJs during special fiestas.
